Włocławek - miasto keczupu?
Włocławek to miasto w województwie kujawsko-pomorskim i niegdyś stolica Kujaw. Włocławek to jedno z najstarszych miast Polski oraz trzecie pod względem wielkości w województwie. Historia miasta sięga czasów około X wieku przed naszą erą, była tam osada kultury łużyckiej.
Nazwa miasta pochodzi od męskiego imienia Władysław i jego odmiany, czyli Włodzisław. Pierwszą z nazw była "Władysławia", później pojawiła się "Vladislavia", w 1595 roku zanotowano nazwę "Włodsławek", a 4 lata później, w 1599 roku zapisano "Włodsław".
Zabytki Włocławka to: gotycki kościół św. Witalisa, Bazylika katedralna Wniebowzięcia Najświętszej Maryi Panny, Pałac Biskupi, Wyższe Seminarium Duchowe, Czarny Spichrz, Muzeum Ziemi Kujawskiej, Bulwary im. Marszałka Józefa Piłsudskiego czy kamieniczki na Starym Rynku.
Przez miasto przepływa rzeka Wisła, która dzieli Włocławek na dwie części: lewobrzeże i prawobrzeże. Odcinek Wisły który przepływa przez Włocławek, to 18 kilometrów. Oprócz Wisły przez miasto przepływają jeszcze rzeki Zgłowiączka, Rybnicka Struga i Chełmiczka.
Największymi jeziorami Włocławka są: Jezioro Czarne, Jezioro Włocławskie, Jezioro Rybnica.
Tereny zielone Włocławka to m.in. Park na Słodowie, Park im. Henryka Sienkiewicza, Park im. Władysława Łokietka czy Rezerwat przyrody Kulin. Na terenie Włocławka znajdują się obszary chronione Natura 2000, są to Dolina Dolnej Wisły i Włocławska Dolina Wisły.
