Niezwykłe atrakcje Słupska
Słupsk to miasto położone w województwie pomorskim, na Pobrzeżu Koszalińskim, nad Słupią, w odległości około 18 km od Morza Bałtyckiego. Słupsk niegdyś był siedzibą książąt pomorskim.
Słupsk to ponad 700-letnie miasto, w którym znajduje się gotycki Zamek Książąt Pomorskich z odrestaurowanymi spichlerzem Richtera, młynem i Bramą Młyńską. Jego historia sięga czasów formowania się państwa polskiego. Liczne zabytki i atrakcje sprawiają, że Słupsk jest miastem chętnie odwiedzanym przez turystów.
Pozostałościami po średniowiecznej zabudowie miasta, które stoją do dziś to resztki murów obronnych z XIV wieku. Znajdują się tu również zabytki gotyku ceglanego. Należą do nich Kościół Najświętszej Marii Panny z krzywą wieżą, kościół Św. Jacka, kościół Św. Ottona , a także budynek Biblioteki Miejskiej. Charakterystycznym zachowanym elementem dawnej zabudowy są dwie bramy miejskie: Nowa Brama i Brama Młyńska.
Wyjątkowym zabytkiem jest średniowieczna Baszta Czarownic, która obecnie pełni funkcję galerii artystycznej. Początkowo była to baszta obronna w obrębie murów miejskich. W XIV wieku przekształcono ją na cele więzienne, w których osadzano kobiety posądzane o czary, stąd też wzięła się nazwa baszty. Ostatnią słupską "czarownicą" była Trina Papisten spalona na stosie w 1701 roku.
W samym centrum miasta znajduje się neogotycki Ratusz Miejski z 1901 roku. Ciekawe jest to, że powstał on w miejscu dawnego bajora zasypanego przez mistrza piekarnictwa ze Słupska, niejakiego Wienanda. Podobno, by zasypać bajoro przewiózł on 30 tysięcy furmanek piasku, w miejsce, gdzie obecnie rozciąga się okazały Plac Zwycięstwa. W ratuszu podziwiać możemy oryginalne gazowe lampy oświetleniowe z kurkami gazowymi, oryginalne tapety w gabinecie prezydenta pieczołowicie restaurowane oraz biurko pierwszego burmistrza miasta. W sali obrad mieszczą się malowidła przedstawiające sceny nadania praw miejskich i wykupu miasta przez mieszczan i duchowieństwo spod 12-letniej władzy Krzyżaków. Na korytarzu prezentowane są klucz do Europy i słupski niedźwiadek szczęścia. Dla zwiedzających udostępniona jest wieża widokowa, a po drodze na górę można podziwiać mechanizm ratuszowego zegara oraz portrety wszystkich burmistrzów i prezydentów Słupska. Naprzeciwko ratusza znajduje się budynek dawnego Domu Towarowego Gustaw von Zeck, w którym wciąż funkcjonuje najstarsza w Europie drewniana winda.
Słupsk to także rzeka Słupia z Papieskim Szlakiem Kajakowym upamiętniającym wodną wyprawę Karola Wojtyły z 1964 roku. Szlak jest niemal tak długi, jak sama rzeka i warto podkreślić, że część doliny rzeki Słupi to przepiękny park krajobrazowy, który możemy podziwiać w trakcie spływu.
Bez wątpienia Słupsk jest bardzo interesującym miastem. W swoich zasobach ma liczne zabytki oraz atrakcje, ale też jednym z atutów miasta jest bliskie położenie Morza Bałtyckiego.
